3-Minute Meal Prep Breakfast: Overnight Oats
/Overnight oats are my go-to breakfast, because they are:
Easy to prepare before bed
Tasty enough to eat every morning
Super customizable and creamy
I like making 2 batches on Sunday night, then bringing both jars to work on Monday morning. My absolute favorite way to eat them is with powdered peanut butter, chocolate chips, and a fresh banana sliced in. It tastes like dessert, and keeps me full and satiated until lunch. Try these oats, you won’t regret it!
I prefer to eat my oats out of a mason jar like these, but normal food storage containers stack better in the fridge. It’s all personal preference, so don’t get hung up on the small stuff.
Overnight Oats
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
1 cup quick cooking oats
2 Tbsp nut butter (I use powdered peanut butter because I have it, and it’s easy to blend and scoop)
3/4 cup milk of choice (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1-2 tsp. natural maple syrup
Optional: 1-2 Tbsp. dark chocolate
Directions
Add all ingredients to a jar or bowl and mix until combined.
Place in fridge overnight and enjoy cold in the morning.
